Anime 2008 ~ My watchlist~

The year is flying by really fast.
We are already in the middle of april, and
of course alot of new anime is aired.

I've started to follow a few new anime,
and I can say that it seems that this " batch "
is better than the start of the year.
If there is any anime I missed, please comment
and give any suggestions as I don't want to miss
anything.

Allison to Lillia

MADHOUSE

A fine anime that probably will offer action,
mystery and drama. The animations aren't topnotch but
" cute " and fits perfect. The anime isn't a
big deal, but still worth looking out for.

Blassreiter

GONZO, Nitro+

One of my most wanted series this year, and how
did it turn out? Alot of cg's, alot of action and
awesome animation. I'm not a big fan of cg's, but Blass
does a good job with it. It's a bad ass anime with bad ass
characters.

Bus Gamer

Frontier Works

I didn't have my eyes on this, it just popped up
from the underground. And boy, this is a great anime
in my opinion. One of my favorites at the moment, it's
still unclear if it will be able to hold onto the cool
and dark atmosphere. The characters are great, and the
Noname team got an awesome mix of 3 guys. I'm gonna
follow this to the end.

Code Geass R2

CLAMP

I think everyone knows this one. Will probably
be one of the better shows this year.

Druaga no To: the Aegis of Uruk

GONZO

I love how this anime is a parody of the
shounen/fantasy ones. It really makes fun of every
element that exist in these kinda shows. The anime
itself isn't that great, but thanks to the parody and
animation, it's one you need on your watchlist.

Itazura na Kiss

TMS Entertainment

Itazura doesn't seem that special, but I'm gonna
give it a few more episodes. It seems to be the normal
girl falls in love with guy that are superior. The
animation isn't that good either. At least the female
protagonist is cute.

Kamen no Maid Guy

MADHOUSE

Had this on my watchlist since last year, and it turned
out to be so-so. Another new anime that has a pretty
low quality on the animation. The design on the other hand is
pretty neat, though Kogarashi is ugly like hell. Will give it
2 more episodes.

Kanokon

XEBEC

Furries, cute furries. I liked this alot though
it will have a crappy story, but who on earth watch
this kinda anime for the story? The animation is lovely
and the characters are cute (females). Will be finishing
this, hopefully the twinlolis will be appearing soon. ^^;

Kurenai

Brains Base

Kurenai, one of the more serious shows. Awesome anime,
I already love it. Interesting base of characters and
seem to have an epic story. Animation is clean too, a good
job on this one, BB. Should be on the must watchlist.

Special A

GONZO

Special A, the first episode wasn't that good. It didn't
introduce something new or at least tried to remake something.
I know that alot of the new anime isn't remarkable or
unique either but, at least they got a good base of characters,
great animation or story. This lacks pretty much all of it, I will
still give it 1 more episode to see if it deliver something else.
This and Itazura na Kiss is the worst so far.

Soul Eater

BONES

BONES, yay. Eureka 7 and now this. Soul Eater got
one of the best animation so far, I love it. And,
Soul Eater got the best OP so far too, TMR is
awesome. This anime got it all, from bad ass action,
cool characters, and cute witches/magical cats ^^;.
It seems to have a pretty ok story too, nothing in the
top 10 but it sure works with everything in the anime.
And, Soul Eater is a bad ass. Put it on the must
watchlist.

Toraburu

XEBEC

XEBEC got Kanokon and this now. 2 of the best ecchi
anime so far. I think most of us knows Lala-chan
and her adventure. At least those who has been
reading the manga. Like Kanokon, beautiful girls but
lacks a great story. On the watchlist, cause it's
so cute. ^^;

Vampire Knight

Studio DEEN

Um, a bad ass vampire anime with beautiful vampires.
Does this work for the hardcore fans or the girls? I'm not
sure, but I liked it. It seems to have a perfect balance
with comedy and action. It will be interesting to follow
the extremely cute Yuki and bad ass Zero. On the must
watchlist too. Oh, and this got an awesome OP too.

Wagaya no Oinari-sama

ZEXCS

I'm not sure were to put this anime, but it seems
to be something between a mystery with furries and
a small part of comedy. Hopefully, it will maintain
the serious act throughout the whole anime as it was
great. Animation were great, Ku-chan kawaii~. Must
watchlist on this too.

xxxHOLiC: Kei

CLAMP, Production I.G

Most of us should know what xxxHOLiC is. I liked it
and will be following this. CLAMP, you are awesome.

Kite Liberator

Lantis

Same as with Bus Gamer, I didn't knew about this.
And, gosh what an anime. After the first OVA was
finished, I wanted more and I can't wait for it.
The action is bad ass in this one, with an cute female
protagonist Monaka. Here, the animation is topnotch
in my opinion, it's just so beautiful. The design is
awesome too. On my must watchlist.

Minami-ke Okawari 11

Minami-ke Okawari 11, just another normal episode.
It starts off with an normal and pretty dumb discussion
as usual. It's kinda hard to write anything special about
Minami-ke O as it's a slice-of-life anime. Anyhow, the episode
pretty much continues in the usual pace.

Fujioka arrive's into the den of Minami. Of course Touma
is there in her usual schooluniform, which makes an pretty
awkward situation for Touma. A bit of sobbing and Kana
comes up with the stupid idea that everyone should wear
the clothes of the opposite sex to make her happy.
Later in the episode a somewhat " kana cold arc " begins.
She first fake a cold to skip the cleaning duties, (oh, silly girl).
But, this plan goes into the pit of fail as Chiaki see through
her " plan ".  ~ Small note, the manga Kana is reading, that's
epic. ~

The good old reincarnation of Jesus, Fuyuki-kun arrives.
Well, only for a short period, while Chiaki and Haruka are
out and shopping. Back home Kana-chan is deeply crushed
by the fact that she actually caught a cold for real.
Uchida comes to visit and Kana is quick to headbump
her and later use her as a slave. Mako-chan arrives too,
and he/she is used as a slave too. After several attempts to
get rid of her cold, she gives up. Chiaki and Haruka arrives
and her cold is no longer a secret.

Kana tries to do a backdrop on Fujioka and fails. At least
Fujioka is happy.i  (b・∀・)b

Minami-ke Okawari is not as good or funny as Minami-ke
but it's not bad either. It's a pretty good anime, some of the
jokes in it are awesome.

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro 18

Gonna start and review anime with more pictures and
text. I want to have a more serious touch to it.

Anyhow, gonna start with Majin 18, I really like
this anime. Today's (or yesterday's) episode was an
action filled one, I liked it! Neuro almost got his ass kicked
but of course he is Neuro and could withstand the mighty
mob of controlled people. Here, we also got a glimpse of why
Higuchi was doing crime. I can pretty much understand him,
2 parents that only care for an online game, and then when Higuchi
hacked the game, the parents committed suicide. Ouch!

Anyway, Yako-chan stopped him by pushing the I-pod,
thus stopping the sound. But of course, Neuro went berserk and
summoned an awesome beast, which almost vaporized the angry
mob.

The second " jinx " is destroyed by Neuro, 1 more to go.
I'm really looking forward to all of this, has been an awesome mystery
so far. Let's hope they wrap it up good, I don't like it when things end
to fast.

On with the episode, Neuro and Yako find's a " Wac "
and this time Neuro is going in for the last time, or so
he thought. Of course there is 1 sphinx left, making
HAL unreachable. Here, Neuro breaks down too, he used to
much of his power, making him pretty much worthless
*sob*. Yako finally get's to do some solo, she need to figure
out the password (Neuro can't as he don't understand humans).
She goes to Sasazuka for information about Haruka.
After alot of food (damn, this one can eat) she finally
figures something out, goes back to the office where
Neuro is resting, thus getting his powers back.
Neuro is rather pleased with Yako this time.

While the higher up's can't say no to HAL's demands, Neuro and
Yako is going by a helicopter (where did slave nr 2 find it? ^^).

I can't really wait for the next episode to air, I need more now!
This anime is not only filled with all sorts of mysteries but also
action, which is getting heavier.

I'm wondering what is gonna happen to Neuro, as we saw here
he is getting weaker by being in the human world, so
I wonder how this will work out.
Is he going to return at the end or is he actually going to stay
in the human world? Can he even stay there or is it lethal?
I would love to see more Yako solo action.
I think she is a great character. (b・∀・)b

True Tears 11 ~ The One You Like Isn`t Me ~

Poor Noe-chan. What is going to happen?

True Tears, one of the best series this year, so far. Today's episode
was awesome and almost tearfilled. I hope it will wrap up good
for the last episodes.

Anyhow, episode 11 did smite me with a heavy load of drama,
not so much Noe though *sob*. Shin'ichiro and Hitomi finally
kissed, but the after effect wasn't what I expected.
Ai-chan made up her mind at least, good for her!
I wonder what is gonna happen to Noe, is she and Shin'ichiro
gonna get together, or will it be Hitomi? A few questions,
2 episodes left. Give me more! (b・∀・)b

Is TT gonna end in a " Nice boat " or maybe a good
old drama ending?

H20 ~ Footprints in the Sand ~ EP 11

Oh, why couldn't you just stay there? >_<

I'm not really a fan of H20, but at least it got a pretty
nice story (with twists).

Episode 11 turned out to be a pretty nice one actually, I still
feel sorry for Hayami-chan * sob * but at least in the end of this episode,
the extreme annoying Hirose did something that even I recognize.
Though, I wonder how he will feel about Hayami-chan, if he will " feel "
(as he can't see)  his mother in her or something else. The anime is finally
wrapping up good (1 more episode) and I hope for a nice final. I haven't
played the game, so I can't really make compare it to the anime.

Is the game better, or worse?

Anyhow, it feel's kinda nice to soon have completed this anime,
seeing as I don't really care for it.

Ookami to Koushinryou EP 11

Ookami to Koushinryou (Spice and Wolf) is actually
one of my favorites so far, it's damn good.

This episode went from good to really good, the plan
that now are in motion seems to be a good one.
I hope that they will succeed, but still that some action
will occur. This anime requires more action, lovey dovey
and less trading. But still, it's an awesome anime.
The sad part is that Ookami is soon finished, oh no.

This year has started out with a few good animes, and alot of crap.
I would love to see more of this caliber.

I haven't touched the manga yet, is it any good?

Kanokon

The new anime Kanokon that is going to air in april.

I'm really looking forward to this ecchi, comedy anime as
I feel that the year so far only has bad ones.
Hopefully this anime will succeed, where the others fail.
The twinloli's seem to be my favorites, I'm guessing
their personality will be somewhat tsundere, or
something close to that.

Alot of furries, yay or nay?.

Clannad 21

How about some green tea sir?

First I want to say, I love this anime so much!
Kudos to KyoAni and Key. Anyhow, episode 21
was really good.

Anyhow, this episode was really good. The first 15 minutes
were pretty normal, but later in the episode things really started to happen.
It wasn't really hard to understand that Nagisa would find the cardboxes
with all those memories.

I loved how the episode turned from a pretty happy
atmosphere to a pretty depressing and sad one.
I wonder how Nagisa will feel when she will act ( if she even is gonna act ).
The preview of the final episode ( 22, though there is more episodes to come )
looked pretty dark. I hope KyoAni will wrap this up good.
Still, I'm a bit more fond of the game as it just feels better at everything.
And there seems to be no return now for a Nagisa x Tomoya, bah!

I want more Kyou-chan action. (>ﾟ∀ﾟ) >

Yotsunoha OVA 1

Yotsunoha was an anime I were looking forward to.
The first OVA had a few flaws but nothing major.

First, the characters in the anime. The male protagonist is
somewhat annoying and pretty lifeless in my opinion. He was
just plain boring. The girls on the other hand were alot better.
We got a few stereotypes but we also got my favorite
Nono-chan kawaii ( Ma-kun was annoying though ) ヾ(ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ
We got the clumsy and big おっぱい.
A somewhat annoying tsundere type
and a random ( I guess she will come in OVA ).

The first episode was pretty plain, nothing out of the order.
It was just a pretty slow introduction, I hope the second OVA
will have more lovey dovey ^^;.
The second should be released in Japan around 28 march.

Anyone else following this plain ( but somewhat cute ) anime?
Played the game? I know I haven't .. yet.

I'm also gonna try and speed up the posting.
I got a few problems with google adsense. (;ﾟДﾟ)

Shigofumi EP 10

Maybe a bit weird to begin at episode 10 but bare with me ^^;

Anyhow, this episode is without a doubt my favorite one.
The episode had drama, comedy and a good portion of depressing scenes.
Takehiko-san was a real downer, while
Fumika-chan( 小さい version ) was a happy girl.
They made a great mix.
It was almost like Fumika made Takehiko-san happier,
if he had lived on maybe he would have realised this.
At least lived for a while ( he had cancer ).

At the end the episode took a pretty deep dive
into the sea of sadness as Fumika didn't
understand why Takehiko-san was " sleeping ".
And the end gave some questions as Fumika woke up.
What will happen to Fumika ( 大きい version ) ?

I wonder what will happen in EP 11. What do you think?

大きい Ookii　　= Big
小さい  Chiisai　= Small
